Goals

The purpose of this program is to provide a meaningful, positive experience on a monthly basis for a medically challenged child (6-14 years old), who has been prohibited from enjoying the normal joys of childhood.

This includes those children who may be currently in medical remission.

 

Program Players

McChord Field Air Force Association (AFA) Chapter – Responsible for sourcing funding and child nominations.

4th Airlift Squadron (4AS) – Plans and executes the program using available McChord Field resources.

Donors – Provide funding and invited to observe program in action.  Recognition on event program and in the AFA Chapter Quarterly Newsletter.

 

Program Expenses

•Each monthly program costs about $500 for an annual budget requirement of $6,000
•Each child receives the following items:
•Flight Jacket, Flight Suit and Helmet Bag with nametags and patches
•AF Flight and Squadron Ball Caps, squadron scarf and Tee Shirt
•Squadron stickers, challenge coin and mini-flashlight
•C-17 Model and framed and signed print
•Family visit meal, lunch and snacks during tour

•A professional Event Photo Album
